Early settlers were excited to discover a river system, navigable by ocean-going vessels that linked the salt water of the Humber Arm with the valuable timber resources that surrounded a network of inland lakes and ponds.

For years the Humber River carried logs, equipment and manpower, breathing life and wealth into this beautiful glacial valley. Now you can experience the strength and beauty of the Humber aboard our Lark Harbour dory.
